Bill:

That's what I'm doing - I think! I just wired up the #4 throttle position at
Terminal District, and think I'll go back and do #5 while the iron's hot. Also,
the RIX throttle mysteriously started working again, in a fashion. It still
cuts out, but I think the problem is the circuit breaker in the AF transformer.
Another "mind bender". I'll probably try putting a new circuit breaker in the
wiring to see if that will help.

I did locate a couple of Troller handheld throttles for back-up service, if
need be. I guess I get a certain amount of pleasure in making this old
technology work. As I look back, there is even more I could have done to
simplify the wiring, but the common rail ground was a good start. I just run a
wire to the throttle, then splice into the common ground wire at any point.

There are some big layout changes I would make, if I had the time, but things
run well, so I just leave the sleeping dog lie, if you know what I mean. I
figured out how I could reverse the geographical orientation of Terminal
District and have a return loop so trains could reverse direction without
having to switch them.

I guess the Santa Fe Historical Society is going to have another mini-meet next
spring, so I've got my work cut out for me without more projects.
