I agree with everything that has been said up to this point. I feel that 
anything new should meet today's expectations of the younger modelers thus to 
perpetuate our scale and hobby. It seems that we as modelers have become so 
critical of detail fidelity that we look down are noses at any model that we 
find a tinniest of incorrect detail, thus loosing the greatness of the rest of 
the model. Today's modelers don't see the big picture when it comes to models. 
Its funny how we are wanting are manufactures to only produce perfect models 
but yet we are ok with logos of railroads on cars and locos that they never 
owned.  
As for American Models products, I love them for their raw material to create 
from. They are like the blank canvas to an artist.   I view American Models of 
today is how modelers of yester year seen and created from American Flyer.
