Hi Bill,

Sometimes I think the hi-rail guys can have more fun than we do. You're not
going back in time and turning back into a Flyer guy, are you?

Actually sometimes, if I had more space (or didn't take as much for my
"scale" layout), I think about building a small pure AF layout. I already
have some trains and accessories. Something for little kids to play with
when they visit here.

I spent a day with Emory Shughart this past Wednesday. Emory said that Doug
Peck has helped him and his family [that is four families] in S Gauge so
much that he goes to Doug all the time when he needs information or buys
model railroad material.

Emory runs American Flyer, SHService and American Models and other trains on
pure American Flyer track. We spent hours running his mainline and switched
trains with nary a flaw.

Emory is a perfectionist on his track! Sooooooooo! We ran my new SHS
Consolidation (DC - 110) on Emory's mainline and we backed though a AF
switch with no problem, but it didn't go well going forward through the AF
switch.

I'm attaching an image, I'll admit it sure is ugly, but that Consy did run
okay!!

Ha!

"S"ee Ya!
