These sound very peculiar. 8 feet wide is common for a three-foot gauge car. 54' long would be extraordinary for a three-foot car, much less 70'. I am leading the crew that is rebuilding one of the largest EBT cars. Its length is just at 50' plus a couple inches, including the end platforms.
