Earl: Not sure what you mean by "old NASG"...?? The trucks were made in 1986 as part of the NASG brass tank car project: five versions of the ACF 10,000 gallon tank car. NASG brass projects were specifically to build cars to the "new" (and current) NASG wheel standards; which were later adopted by NMRA so today all are in sync. It was Don Thompson's idea to additionally build a different truck for S scale. The trucks chosen were the coil spring version of the T-Section Bettendorf, different from the elliptical spring version used on the G&W brass NYC 19000-series caboose models.
"Ownership" is an interesting concept. The NASG Brass Car Committee (Don Thompson, Mike Ferraro and me) provided the truck drawings to OMI which sent them to Ajin. The drawings are in the public record so you are free to send them to a manufacturer and have new trucks made.
