have done all repeat ALL I'm going to do. The rest of you on this list need to

Perhaps Alan Lambert
could contact Jon and find out who within Lionel makes the new product
decisions for AF/S.  Typically, a CTO (Chief Technical Officer) is charged
with designing the product after the marketing guys decide what the product
will be.  This might be a worthwhile path to trod.  Ed Loizeaux

Jon Zahornacky's Summary
My background covers analog
and digital system design. Most of my career involved embedded system design,
of which I had responsibility for "breath of life" software design.

Early in my career, I designed test equipment for the disk drive industry,
eventually moving into disk drive design, concentrating on interface (SCSI) and
servo systems(spindle & stepper).

With the PC industry in full swing, I helped develop VXD and DLL's as well as
BIOS, for BusLogic Host adapters, as a contractor for said company.

Moving up the food chain, I designed several NAS systems, which revolved around
BIOS, North/South Bridge code, and basic I/O systems, such as NIC and SCSI
interfaces. This day to day responsibility was augmented by management of the
group, as director of engineering. Eventually this company (CDS) was purchased
by Maxtor, and I gained freedom to explore other venues.

With time now possible to focus on what I really like to do, I rekindled my
interest in model trains, designing embedded systems for the model train hobby.
The efforts eventually created an opportunity to work for Lionel LLC, of which
I am extremely lucky to have been blessed with the opportunity.
