I spoke with Dan Navarre tonight and he has finalized the corrections and order
for the 43-R and SP-43 Triple Bolster Truck in S scale. A couple photos have
been posted in the link below. The final trucks will come pre-painted black
with dual side insulated wheel sets. Triple Bolster Trucks were used before
WW2 on many of the initial orders of lightweight passenger cars from Pullman
Standard; notably early "City" streamliners and the 1938 Broadway and 20th
Century Limited. Some railroads, especially the SP, continued to use them
well into the 1960's. The 43-R (roller bearing version) is most appropriate
for the AT&SF, NYC, NKP and PRR. The SP-43 version was mainly used on the SP,
UP and C&NW. Passenger cars equipped with 43-R trucks later showed up on the
IC and ACL via equipment purchases from predecessor railroads.

Dan and I have been working on this project for over two and a half years so
there is more than a little sigh of final relief. It is always good to
manufacture something that has not previously existed in S scale. More
details and ordering information can be found by contacting River Raisin Models
