I just got off the phone with the sales department at MTH. First off, she
wasn't exactly enduring to me asking questions about S scale. She said "we
aren't ready yet, so we aren't making any announcements until sping". OK! "It
will be probably be a couple of engines and a few boxcars, but I don't know
exactly what it will be yet. Not sure how much if any track and accessories,
it will all depend on how things go". Again I say OK! So I asked what time in
the spring and told her that the S scale community is getting a little upset
about the lack of communication and information coming out, and to that she
says "Nothing is going to come out until we are ready. No sense putting out an
announcement and not being able to deliver the product. So it will be Spring
when something comes out. It may not be a catalog, it may just be a product
announcement on the website."
So there it is. If they are like any other manufacturer, Spring means Winter,
and Winter usually gets delayed to the following year. That's just my opinion
though.
