I thought I would post some pictures for those that might be interested in
the progress of the "Missouri Pacific" Mikado I am building.

Photo 1 is turning the stainless steel crank pin bushings for all eight
drivers.

Photo 2 Drivers stretched to NAGS specs, quartered, axle holes in frame
cleaned, axles cleaned, 2-56 tapped in the drivers, new steel 2-56 crank
pins, side rod castings cleaned, holes reamed to the proper size crank pin
bushing but not yet pinned together. Working on the eccentrics at the time
of the picture. Counter weights on the drivers will come latter.

Photo 3 motor temporally installed running on 8 volts breaking in
everything. Will repeat again with valve grinding compound on axles, crank
pins and gears for another hour in each direction.

Will install can motor and different gears after all the breaking in is
done. Next step is the steam chest. Valve guides, crosshead guides with the
crossheads on main rods. Then the yoke and the entire valve gear assembly,.
