1. Sell off all your HO stuff. O and N and G also.

2. Sell off anything you have not run in the past year.

3. Use a credit card and make monthly payments.

4. Ask Fred for a loan. Maybe a volume discount (buy 10).

5. Compare the cost of a RTR Fred-converted Y-3 to a brass import that
requires a decoder, installation, smoke unit, speaker(s), etc. and you will
soon realize the Lionel loco is not very expensive in comparison.

One thing that will certainly help is to write Lionel and tell them you
appreciate their cooperation with Fred in this matter. Lots of letters will
catch their attention for sure. Be sure to mention that every loco converted
by Fred is a loco that Lionel would never have sold any other way. The average
scale hobbyist cannot possibly do what Fred is doing and would not even attempt
it.

The real problem is knowing to whom your letter of appreciation should be sent.
Has anyone unearthed who at Lionel is responsible for S/AF new product
decisions and what his mailing address is? Any volunteers out there to track
down the appropriate contact person?

Cheers...Ed Loizeaux
