Well actually there were more than 7 S scalers. Lee Johnson can give the
numbers once the registration & walk-in figures are available, but we certainly
did not have 20,000 in attendance at the show.
However, and more importantly in my book, we had two new guys decide to join
our ranks. I think one of the critical keys was that when they toured Ed L's
awesome layout, we stuck throttles in their hands and had them run trains. One
fellow ran the Y3 coal train, and the other ran my SP Harriman passenger train.
I know that guy ended up buying an Atlantic from Jettie at the show.
