Rusty, I have been selling and buying both model RR stuff and
photography items for several years now. I've come to the conclusion
that both buying and selling is a total toss-up. Sometimes the wind
will carry it North, sometimes South and sometimes nothing happens. In
the photo arena, I've been told to not fool around with the bids but
only do" buy it now" listing. That didn't work any better.
I often find the 'watch list' people are less than tire kickers too--but
there are surprises too. My pet peeve are those who grab a stock photo
from a website and claim the product they're selling is that unit. Also
many photos are way too dark and fuzzy--maybe on purpose!

Attached are a couple of photos of REX models I finished. These now
belong to a fellow S Scaler. Some one who started in S Scale with CD
models in about 1946. I did have a Suburban and a Mogul on eBay until
today. I killed the auction since I had no bids what so ever but I did
have a LOT of questions! T
My current plans are to go ahead and finish them. Convert them to
NASG standards, add more details, change the brass tyres to 303,
include operating marker and head lights, and paint black. When I've
done that I'll put them back up on eBay and see what happens. The
price won't be $117 or $124, more like; $617 or $724.
For those interested I had 30+ watchers on the Mogul and 20 on the
Suburban auction. Typically guys more interested in what it sells for
I would assume than actually wanting to purchase it. If they did want
to purchase it they would have bid at least the minimum.
