Hi Tom. I measured a scale 6" from the top, and scribed each rib. Then used a razor saw to cut through the side and ends. I only cut until the saw just came through the sides, and then moved on to the ends. I then put a piece of 220 grit sand paper on top of a piece of glass, and sanded the top even. If cut carefully, you wont have to sand much. you can then remove the remaining material from the top cord, and re-use it, or make a new one from plastruct. The original top cord measures a scale 1" x 6". I'm not sure how far the frame lowered, as I haven't measured to find out. I would guess about a scale 6". Comparing the car to prototype photo's it looks "right".
