Via email, the late Wolfgang Deidler, explained to me that European Fremo has large setups specifically for operations, no public invited. These are often multi-day afairs where where individual travel for miles (even on public transit) or Kilometers between countries with modules in hand. I presume at the expense of the individuals or Fremo organization. As thy do not have public means to bring in funds. My inferenes may not be quite right, but take a look at the image of these links:
http://www.westportterminal.de/meetings/2010Zuidbroek/hall.pdf http://www.eisenbahnstudio.com/2010/10/photos-from-the-fremo-zuidbroek-2010-meeting/ See the enlarged photos, and you see fast clocks and such. THey have setups in multiple scales and prototypes, including US. My understanding is that Fremo has some 1400 members... Trevor and Jim, Wolfgang could have been an interesting interview....Maybe another Fremo lead could shed insight... Dave K. ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
