Good afternoon!

This concern about delayed orders with Jerry has come up before .
Jerry's brother has been dying of cancer for the past year and he just passed
away in mid January.

Jerry just sent me a large number of decals for some of our kits.  They
also have been due for a number of months.

As with almost all small businesses when the owner has a personal
challenge that requires his/her time be focused on a loved one who is passing
things do not get done.

I know this personally, because we have been affected for the past three
months by the passing of the mother of a dear friend.  Grief and feelings of
loss do not pass immediately obviously, so it will take Jerry time to mourn his
loss and return to his daily life in full.  Over time he will be able to
recover and return to his decal efforts

Working as a hospice worker with the dying and families of the dying as I
do, puts our minor daily problems in to better perspective.

Our hobby is just entertainment, it is trivial compared to the pain
suffered by the survivor(s) who have lost a loved one.

Those of you that read this email, pray for Jerry and think of his family
in their moment of loss.  Sending a email with a caring message will lift his
spirit and yours.

Thanks,

Bob McCarthy

Subject: {S-Scale List} Re: Jerry Glow decals

Looks like Jerry Glow might be out of the picture as well. I've had $70 worth
of decals on order from him since November. Three times he's told me that they
would be in the mail within a few days. Still nothing...

S scale has fallen back into "the dark ages" of modeling when it comes to
sources for decals. IMHO, lack of decals is by far the most crippling and
discouraging part of modeling in our scale.
