Very nice Trevor. I want a couple of shallow corn fields on my layout
but was never happy with what I saw--you got it right! And yes you will
have to install some fencing to keep those cows away.
A great place to put a few rows is where the background blends into the
layout itself. With that in mind, a few years ago I had purchased some
corn plants that were made from an etched sheet of brass. It had very
nice leaf detail, but I couldn't find a way to contour the brass sheet
to fit the slopes and small hills common on my layout. I guess they
will find their place on ebay!
