Yes indeed, imagine back 20 years ago when the Sunset Big Boys'
arrived. Most ran out of the box for a short ways--until they came to a
curve! Also remember they were that pretty gold color--better referred
to as "unpainted".
Yes it's unfortunate to layout the extra dues for the mod's, but with
the Sunset models you had to tweak, tweak, and then paint, then maybe
tweak again, then add sound...
It looks like Lionel has a darn nice product.
