Good morning!

Well this is news of an accidental creation of a group of NYC and NKP
boxcars.  We were working on creating three GN 38500 box cars - a single, door
and a half and double door.  While showing the double door version at the Cocoa
Beach RPM on 15.1.13, Pete Silcox met Bill Schaumberg, retired editor of RMC
who took pictures for RMC of the meet.  A gentleman standing with him looked at
the GN car and commented that it was exactly the same as the NYC, NKP, and a
host of related railroads box cars!

In any case we will be producing a limited number of Jerry Glow decals
for several of the NYC system railroads.  Please contact us off this site to
indicate your interest in obtaining one or more of these new kits.

Also  please visit www.thesupplycar.net  to see more of our freight and
passenger car kits.

Thanks,

Jan and Bob McCarthy

Subject: {S-Scale List} Re: Modeling the NYC in S Article

Chris,
A locomotive set missing from Dick’s list is the
F-7A/B set imported by Overland or RRM, close to the same time as the F-3A/B
set.  Not sure, but I’m thinking the B unit was the same for both
sets.  Also, I don’t recall S Helper having the F-7 units in NYC paint
scheme.  Correct me if I’m wrong!

The S Scale SIG is
pleased to announce another release in its ongoing Modeling from the Prototype
series. This time Dick Karnes brings us a comprehensive overview of New York
Central models in S including 30 accompanying photographs. You'll find the new
article on our site at
http://sscale.org/s-scale-resources/modeling-from-the-prototype/new-york-central-modeling-in-s-scale/

We're always looking
for road specific overviews of S Scale models that will give those within and
outside the S Scale community an idea of what's available for their favorite
road. Would you like to write an article on your favorite road? We welcome
submissions for anyone.

Thanks for everything you do to promote scale
modeling at 1:64 and your support.
