so here goes, the delay has primary due to examining shs molds, and
then determining
which plant will be used for each mold, the problem arises, in that
mth has more hen a
few plants, and the respective facilities had to be examined both for
compatibility as well
as volume capacity, once that was accomplished, then production times
for these
facilities had to be rearranged to accommodate the additional
workload, bare in mind that
mth will be using it's existing facilities, until they get a handle
on the volume of product,
which is understandable, why build a new plant in the beginning?
based on a guess?
now for the big bomb, mth's product run will be based on a six month
market, that means
that is you see an item you like, you better by it now, not later,
for the fast selling items
a rerun will usually occur within 12-18 months, for slow selling
items, 36-48 months, mth's
feedback as far as availibiilty is based on the info that the dealers
feed into it, and is checked
daily, while this is voluntary on the dealers part, mth keeps a track
as to the accountability,
mike wolff is presently in asia, troubling shooting the first run of
track, to make sure there
are no hiccups, now welcome to the real world of labor in the prc, it
seems that seniority
counts, in the labor classification, a senior engineer, can override
the entire project, and can
totally change the product line, as well as the direction of
product development, on a personal
whim, shs can attest to this, so as well as trouble shooting mr,
wolff is having discussions with
the engineers to keep abreast of any potential problems, you got to
love their system, you tell
them what you need, and pay them, and they tell you what they are
going to produce no wonder
that don and mike decided to retire, rather than drop dead of an
heart attack, so in closing if you
see something you like when it first comes out, grab it, otherwise
depending on it's sales, you
may never see it again, for the first couple of runs, they are going
to be using shs sales figures,
so these will be some what limited in volume, in order to learn how
to judge the market, and
please if you can't control yourself, or disapointment, please do it
offline, we do not need to
be walking around with holes in our feet, at this stage, LET'S GIVE
