Thank you for the many replies on how to fix my errant mainline LH switch.

It is now operational, seems that when I measured the levelness of the
switch, it was partially off, I corrected it, and now all is well.

It is nice to have so many friends out there who are willing to chip in and
help a fellow model railroader when in need.

I've been following the coupler writings and must remind everyone that we've
been that so many times and surveys found that the Kadee 802 is the most
popular coupler, but many still use the Kadee 5, fortunately, they work well
together.

My other coupler concern are the simulated hoses hanging down from the
couplers, many cut them off, I still use them.

Another coupler factor that also fascinates me. ....

Dave Engle and others write; Here's the relevant dimensions of the knuckle
face height from notes I have handy:
Prototype Type E 11"
Prototype Type D 9"
Prototype 3/4 MCB 6.75"
Prototype 1/2 MCB 4.5"

 KD 804 15 11/16" (KD O scale coupler)
KD 802/808 12" (also same as KD 803)
SHS 01295 11.5"
PROTO Max 10 1/8"
KD 5 10 1/8"
Steam Era Auto Couplers II 8 5/8"

Wow! That is really fine tuning a coupler!

Well, back to track work on the Reading Company's, Jefferson Central
division.

"S"ee Ya,

Bill (Fraley)
