And, NO, I'm not talking about something that involves putting your keys in a chip bowl
I currently have three forms of couplers and will be adding a fourth shortly. KD802's on my Standard Gauge (56.5 inch) equipment. KD No.5's on my Sn36 revenue equipment Wiseman #0258's link and pin couplers on my Sn36 mine equipment I'm also building Sn9mm (a derivative of Sn24) equipment to run from a commercial fishing pier to a cannery and will decide on an appropriate coupler once I finish my first engine and car. Both the engine, a generic battery storage loco, and the cars mount on N-scale chassis, so I'll likely end up using an N-scale KD, but will make a final decision once I'm able to `mock-up' this equipment, and see which coupler looks best. I also have a Dual Gauge Idler Car that allows the Standard Gauge equipment to couple to the Sn36 revenue equipment and vice versa. I'm thinking about building a second, freelance idler that would allow coupling between the S, Sn36, and Sn24 as I hope to create a section of Triple Gauge. Even with the Sn9mm equipment unfinished, I've laid a fourth rail on my test track, creating Triple Gauge, but that's as far as I've gone with it in that regards. So again, when it comes to coupling, why choose when you can do it all? With the addition of idler cars, different couplings just makes life more interesting.
