Hear Ye, Hear Ye, all criticizers and Ruffians, take note. Godd Ol' String boB
(aka "Cheap" "S"tring boB) has been saving money by buying cans of pork and
beans WITHOUT the skimpy little piece of qualifying pork in the top of a
fresh-opened can, and today invested the savings therefrom to win a NIB SHS
NW-2 on Ebay, expected delivery date between 3/22 and 3/25, 2013.
This engine is in BURLINGTON red-and-grey color scheme and the plan is to use
it in one of two ways: 1) to increase the CB&Q presence at Mooar Yard, or, 2)
see if Kindraka would like to trade his undecorated SW-1 for it.
If option 1) prevails, it will become the classification yard switcher at Mooar
Yard, representing the CB&Q at Keokuk as did (does) the prototype. At any rate
its delivery is highly anticipated.
As per SHABBONA sop, it does NOT have any of the "bells and whistles", such as
DCC, etc., considered a necessity by so many other owners, and thus should fit
into daily operations with little more that changing out the wheels and
couplers.
