Yes, Bill, S scale is lucky to have such a fine modeler and artist as Brooks representing it to the general modeling press! I agree, those who do not subscribe to MR should at least check out the May issue.
“Model Railroad News” this month has another full page add of S items. I don’t know if this is a result of the NASG, but if so, I congratulate them! In the same issue of MRN (April), Ken Zieska has a well done 2 page product review of the new MRC diesel sound decoder. Ken installed this 1.5 amp decoder in an American Models GP-9, and there is even a photo of his installation, but the review and the decoder are identified by the magazine as HO scale! Others have mentioned articles of interest in this issue of Model railroader; "Technologies shaping model Railroads future" one should not miss reading as Hal Miller describes "Small-Scale radio control and Battery Power," and Paul Dolkos article on modeling Styrene Structures is also a very good read. Model Railroader has published a very good magazine this month. So, once again, Congratulations to Brooks and his excellent work, how much it helps us in S scale improve our image only time will tell, but it surely does publicize our S scale hobby.
