<*>[Attachment(s) from North Stratford included below] Group, While turning the worm axle with my fingers the truck gearing seemed a bit 'tight' and there is practically no horizontal movement with the worm axle. I measured the length of the regular worm and the low speed worm and learned that the low speed worm is a bit longer. I swapped the stock .010" thrust washers with NWSL .005" washers. Now there is sufficient horizontal movement (but not too much) and the truck gearing seems smoother. When using the low speed worm, I would experiment with replacing one or both of the stock washers.
