I recently received my unlettered standard gauge Oregon Lumber Shay from PBL.
This was one of those rare moments where the actual event exceeded the
expectations.

It's a very fine piece of machinery that runs as well as it looks.
The installed sound system is nice also.
When coasting, the chuff subsides and the line shaft sounds can be heard.

The brake squeal sounds are most realistic.

All in all, PBL outdid themselves and the wait as well as the money are well
worth it. And the opportunity to buy an S Scale Shay only comes around every
twenty five years or so.
