Hi All ---
If you are an NASG member, this is for you. Otherwise, I hope it will spur
some of you to join! I have been given permission by the moderators to make
this announcement.
The ballots for this year’s election are in the April “Dispatch” being
delivered now. Please take the time to review the proposed constitutional
amendments – one to bring the constitution in line with modern communications
and current NASG operations, the other to streamline the voting process in the
unfortunate event that there are NO offices with multiple candidates or other
matters to decide. I urge you to vote yes for both of the proposals.
The other consideration is the race for President with Will Holt and myself as
candidates. While I would hope that you vote for me as a reflection of the
progress I have brought to the NASG over the last couple of years as Western
VP, it is important that you participate and VOTE. The NASG is reaching a
stage where the future has to be looked at very carefully. Our aging hobby
and membership require us to look at all options and efficiencies if we are to
survive as an organization for more than a few years longer. It is important
that ALL members put on their thinking caps and generate possible ways to go
forward.
If you are interested in a list of persons endorsing my candidacy, please email
me OFF LIST. I don’t want this announcement to turn into a verbal contest.
