I used to have a photo of a stake truck (flat bed with wood plank sides)
partially loaded with ice blocks. A small overhead crane was lifting the ice
blocks up into the reefer hatches one at a time. The crane straddled the track
and a dirt road in a small town. With this arrangement, any truck would be
workable and would not have to be the lifting type necessarily. Small
footprint for the entire scene for sure. And it is all prototypically
authentic.
