Since I just made my hotel reservations it means Scranton is getting closer.
I will repeat something I sent when Scranton was first announced.

Perhaps the best way “to get there” is to fly into Philadelphia and rent a
car. The drive to Scranton is about 2 ½ hours pretty much straight north.
It is really easy to do.

Do the convention thing… see the layouts north of me in the Allentown PA
area on Sunday. Work your way south on Sunday night and find a place to
stay. There are a few hotels etc about 3 miles from here. On Monday (12th)
stop by here and see the plywood central. A few people is good - 50 people –
not so good! You will have to visit in shifts. Maybe go swimming while you
are waiting to see the layout!

I will try and see if 2 other S scale layout in my general area can be open.
NO promises! It might be a true day of last minute yes or no. 1 is easy to
get to about 10 minutes away and 1 is about 30 minutes away in the rural
South Jersey farmlands…..

With some sincerity if this is something you are giving lots of
consideration to please let me know ASAP so I have an idea what to expect. I
may have to do a “schedule” thing and set a “layout is open” time frame.

But with this plan you will be back in the Philadelphia area for a late
departure on the 12th or whenever on the 13th. I am pretty much right across
the river from the Philadelphia airport.

Thank You,
Bill Lane
