Hi Rusty --

You know, if I needed ANOTHER lifetime supply of kits, getting those at minimum
bid would be a deal. Unfortunately, I have sold off all of my nifty SWM 4
wheel passenger trucks. I also have a few of the kits shown. And I have at
least one lifetime of projects to finish now. It would have been fun to have
the REA and PFE express cars (I need them like another hole in my head, but...)
I can’t think of anything in a wood kit that would be hard to replace other
than roof stock for the express cars and end sill castings. My wood kits tend
to lose their parts as part of the construction process as I replace them with
newer “high tech” parts and plastic....

Too much fun...

Some guy in Florida is selling these on eBay

The really neat part from the photos it appears they are either not complete,
and /or missing the instructions. He also thinks the opening bid should be $250
for supposedly 12 kits and the shipping should be $55. Oh such a deal!!!! I
didn't see any trucks in the kits

I've been involved in these things on eBay and have learned my lesson. If they
are not all laid out with multiple photos, eBay gives you lots of free photos,
then there tends to be a problem. Usually a big problem, as in missing parts!!!

I checked the eBay ad Bill mentioned on the READING !-8. The seller has a
feedback of 93%. Lots of red negatives. I'll pass on that one so go for it. The
seller appears to be an auto parts guy. Not necessarily a bad thing. I was, but
not any more, a heavy equipment mechanic for part of my career, and a bad one
at that!
