Most of my point was that Scalecoat does not have a great shelf life at times after the bottle is opened. If you thin it with the Scalecoat thinner it will either harden in a sealed jar or just separate into goopy layers in about 3 weeks. In order to get custom mixes you need a larger jar to mix it! The mason jars just seem to store the paint for a very long time without some of the chemical injection methods you mentioned. Scalecoat still has Brunswick Green and Tuscan. Move your modeling interests about 2000 miles east and you will suddenly have everything you need!
