The S scale list has been a positive reading experience of late...guys who actually make stuff and share the experience with others.
Nice Mike, Mike! Your MoPac 1414 is a great looking piece of work. Well done. Same with all the S layout articles that are popping in the major mags this summer. I've seen Bob's in the July RMC, but will now have to run for the current issues of RMC and MR to see Roger's work and that of the Jackson family. I agree it would be nice to see Bob Werre's and Peter Vanvliet's layouts in print some time. There are also some layouts in the Great White North worthy of publication. Trevor Marshall's Port Rowan is setting a new standard for construction. Paul Raham's big double-deck layout is classic construction that is still very photogenic. John Johnston's layout has enough nicely finished areas for a photo feature. Then there's Clayt Peter's Plum Creek. I'm sure there are other guys who's work I haven't seen or that I've lost track of. All of this with the possible exception of Trevor, is largely unknown work in the U.S. As for me, I'm not yet ready for prime time, but I have agreed to host an NMRA layout visit next summer, Hopefully that should be sufficient to light a fire under my sandals. Cheers Jim Martin
