Welcome to S-Scale group!
Just checked my SD40-2 on 24" radius loop with body
mounted 802's and 4 cars attached. It's tight and swings way out, but
negotiated OK. Don't believe I'd go less than that. This was on the Code
148 loop -- my outside radius of Code 100 is 27". Both loops are on a 5
x 9 ft layout in the front window of my print shop.
