Calum,

Please accept my condolences. I knew John for 25+ years. I called Frank
Titman the #1 God of S Scale. John was #2. I never once saw him mad or
annoyed. He accomplished many things in life and his hobbies. A life well
lived for sure.

Back when I first got into S Scale I bought a scratchbuilt PRR passenger car
from Vic Roseman. Vic wanted to keep the trucks so I bought he SSLS truck
kit. It was very intimidating to me. I asked John to put them together for
me. John played it just right! He spent some time trying to tell me how to
do it but I was convinced John should do it. After about 2 months of waiting
for when John said he would do it, I opened the parts bag and figured it
out! I believe he knew that would happen!

Attached are a few photos of John with "Sarsaparilla Brother" Howie Waelder.
The were great friends as well.

Salute another excellent S Scaler and friend.

Thank You,
Bill Lane
