All,

I have seen a very recent item purchased from Shapeways using their FUD
material (best detail). While the layering was better than what I had seen
from about a year prior this new item was not glassy smooth either. The
walls were nice and thin to look at but if you had to sand it to make it
smooth that would be an issue in terms of bruising detail and fragility. I
believe Shapeways is "getting away" with the less than perfect surfaces in
the smaller scales because they are cheap in price and are being accepted as
"better than nothing"

While we are on the subject of RP produced items what do you think is a fair
price for a car/kit not available in S in any form that would be RP
produced? What if it was stunning in every detail, great surfaces, and ready
to use like any other PRS kits you have had? What could your favorite car
you DON'T have be worth to YOU?
