S-Gaugers, I am sorry for my poor description of the log loader - The log loader was the 787 with the famous plastic yellow house and I have a 914 log dump car that I purchased recently that I'll try on the set this later this spring... Since we can only dump logs on from the front (loading track side) we may get logs in front of the double lifters... and in fact usually do when we do manual loads unless we are careful... Wish we could dump from back side and keep lifters up - that would alleviate the problem as suggested by an earlier posting... If I have a problem, I'll use a digital camera to replicate the situation and pass on some pictures to illustrate the behavior of the logs in ending up in front (loading track side) of the double lifter which is pushed by a cam to cause it to rise out of the base, but the front logs cause an "empty pick up" by interfering with the hooks reaching down... I'll also check log diameters... maybe a too large diameter is interfering with hooks coming down or maybe hooks need to be gently adjusted (bent) to handle the situation. Thanks, Scott Dee
