Is this because the other gauges were made to the "old" NMRA standards? DE

Subject: [S-Scale] Track Gauges

Hi all:
Just wanted to pass on some experience with track gauges. I have some
old 3-point Kemtron gauges, some new Rollee gauges (latter bought within
the last year), and two new NASG gauges. Both the Kemtron and the
Rollee gauges are just a tad narrower than the NASG gauge for track!
Has anyone noticed this (or was I the only one who tried the rollee
gauges first because I thought the slots cut in them for the railheads
were quite convenient)?
Regards,
Rance Velapoldi (Norway)
