Ron, thanks for the input! You really cleared up my questions of the 'b' units. I did not know that the sleek center units were actually traction motors.
Did these center units contain a actual diesel set for power generation? Or were they simply motor units driven by the upfront generator 'bullnose diesel? I actually thought they were 'living quarters' for the crew and possibly sleek looking fuel storage units to feed the front diesel 'bull' unit. Thanks Mikey.
