comfortable doing that.  However, you don't need to do that 
to "bookmark" the auction.  Just log in and click on "watch this 
item".

I agree, I am a frequent eBayer considering I am on a 16-year-old 
budget. I never bid more than a minute before the auction's end. The 
ONLY time I will bid early is if I am not going to be home and i 
understand when people do this. I hate these people who will compete 
back and forth when there are 4 or so days left, all this does is 
jack up the price. At times I feel that I am the only one who likes 
to save money. Also, about the bidding to bookmark the auction, I 
understand where you are coming from but wouldn't you rather save the 
$1 or so (if you win) and simply "watch the item"? I know there is a 
20 auction limit, but you can always "bookmark it" it the old fashion 
way by using your browsers bookmarker. If you disagree, I suppose I 
am just cheap.
