ICSD-for-WWW can now output powder patterns in Adobe Acrobat PDF format instead of postscript (most people already have the Acrobat plug-in). It can also output 3D-structures in Chime/PDB instead of VRML (VRML is better for inorganic structures, but is not very stable on the Macintosh, and many people already have the Chime plug-in). These options can be tried on-line at http://barns.ill.fr/dif/icsd/, which now contains 57,195 structures for licensed users (but only ~2,000 for others). Comments, especially on the 3D-Chime display, would be welcome.
