After testing it more actually you can select the items even in s^3 (if
you have hw qwerty) by using arrow buttons. Still I'm still considering
that we could just #ifdef out those edit and delete buttons.

I've given some toughts about this and there are pro and cons in both
cases. If all settings would be in the profile user could setup different
profiles for different use cases like lets say one for irc with different
gestures and buttons in toolbar and one for e.g. for emacs useage.
On the other hand if you dont like the default settings you would need to
change those for every profile you make since there is no copy profile
functionality.
Still if I think my own usage I dont benefit from having ui settings in
profiles since I've not changed my settings even once after setting those
to ones I want. So in that sence my opinion is that "global ui settings"
would set global ui settings that could be the default for everything
unless the same settings are changed in profile (e.g. font, fullscreen
toggle.)
