Hi Risto, HAL is @publishedPartner so fair enough apps shouldn't use it, but then again it has been in the SDK forever so removing it is effectively a source break in my opinion. However it was only used to detect the exact phone model, and that was only used to support E55's weird keypad so not really an issue on anything but S60 3.x.
I was a bit confused with toolbar positioning, but was pretty sure I didn't break it, so good to know it wasn't me. :) I think it seems to work pretty intuitively, although personally I just keep it disabled anyway. It would probably be more consistent if it the rotation worked similarly on both edges, and likewise the toolbar now seems to jump from under the pointer when it rotates so keeping its position the same relative to the pointer/finger position might make it feel more natural.
