Hi all, There is now a fixed build for S60 5th edition phones at http://www.modeemi.fi/~pekangas/putty/
The root cause was code that attempts to save settings when the view object is being deleted, which ends up trying to use the cleanup stack in a desctructor. Bad idea, and looks like something I accidentally added recently, sorry about that. :) The settings loader is also now more robust and if it gets an empty settings file caused by this bug it just silently uses default settings. Pasi, Jani, if this doesn't fix your problem let me know. This is also my first S60 5th ed PuTTY binary release so let me know if I broke something else...
