Hi, I'm not sure if I understand it correctly, but is it true that you are storing the AES key along with the data? Then what's the point of encrypting the data in the fist place?
As I understand, the only required data to decrypt the data is the passphrase, which is technically brake-able easily by brute force. The idea of AES is to make it hard to break the code because the brute force will take a long long time with the current hardware. So my question is, why the AES key is not stored encrypted locally, and not alongside with the data? Or am I completely wrong?
