Hi,

I have just started with s3ql and it looks great, thanks for an impressive
bit of software!

I notice that in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS without using the PPA I get the
relatively old s3ql 1.16-1 version by default.

Is there any reason (security, showstopper bugs) to *not* use this version
for basic s3ql use?

This is keeping in mind the ease of administrative overhead of sticking to
the packages shipped by operating system vendors where possible.

I don't see any sign of CVE-2014-0485 being backported to Ubuntu s3ql
1.16-1 so would it still be vulnerable?

*thanks*
