Are you actually using systemd as your init system? If not, then there
is no need for the systemd Python module either.
If you are using systemd, then you probably need to install something
like systemd-dev or systemd-devel to get the header files.
Finally, make sure that you are actually installing the Python module
that comes from systemd upstream. There is another Python systemd module
floating around that is incompatible with the official module.
