Yes, that's correct. In addition to that, the old version will first be
copied to a backup, and the old backup to a backup of the backup,
etc. IIRC the most 10 or so versions are retained, so each upload will
trigger 1 object upload and ~10 remote object copies, all overwriting
existing objects.
