The problem here is that what the website is trying to hold is neither  
a technically competent survey nor a poll, but it looks like one.  The  
designer of the question, the administrator and counter of votes  
should have no interest in the outcome of a poll / survey (thus the  
Coalition's recent legal case against the Elections and Boundaries  
Commission).  The call to action on 5 December shows up this conflict  
perfectly.

There is always a temptation to, as the Observer does on occasions,  
use the outcomes of such exercises to reach conclusions that the  
methodology is quite incapable of supporting.

If you want people to show solidarity, a poll is a presumptuous way of  
doing so.

All this technical carping aside, the website represents a significant  
political development for Swaziland.
