PUDEMO Calls For immediate Freezing of All Mswati's Accounts
The People's United Democratic Movement-PUDEMO calls for the immediate
freezing of all accounts held by King Mswati, his government officials
and members of the royal family held outside of Swaziland. This comes in
the wake of blatant looting currently taking place as the regime is
collapsing. A lot of money is changing accounts and the bulk is leaving
the country. This is the least the international community can do to
save the people of Swaziland.
PUDEMO Condemns African Alliance and Interneuron SA for leading the loot
of the Swazi economy in collaboration with Mswati
PUDEMO wish to place on record that African Alliance and Interneuron SA
shall be made to account for their role in the intensified looting of
the economy by the Swazi monarchy and their friends and families.
For a few months now, PUDEMO has been following with keen interest the
interesting and highly secretive transactions between different sources
within the royal family, the Swaziland government and certain business
entities based in South Africa and elsewhere, with dubious characters
and individuals. These political rodents are in a scramble to finish off
whatever remains of the once-promising Swazi economy.
It has been gathered from highly placed sources from within the
government of Swaziland and the financial institutions in the country
that African Alliance has offered to raise the bulk of the R1.4 billion
announced by the government. The security offered by the government and
accepted by African Alliance is largely shares in the main banking
institutions namely Standard Bank, First National Bank, Ned Bank and
Swazi Bank. What is most interesting with this deal is the increasing
power, influence, enrichment and dominance of African alliance over the
Swazi economy and the possible role of its Swazi director and private
advisor and friend to the king Mr Stoffen Ginindza.
At a stroke of a pen the people of Swaziland are facing a real risk of
losing whatever little family silver that the country still has. It
would not be surprising if African Alliance emerge out of this illicit
deal as the future super bank of Swaziland. African Alliance as a
business seriously needs to look itself in the mirror and question its
ethics. The future government of Swaziland would be clearly justified
and in reviewing the legitimacy of such shady deals and even refusing to
honour such a clandestine deal. This is corruption of the first order.
Similarly another South African Group has offered the government R400
million and seeking to hold the equivalent value of the Swaziland
Electricity Company and they are also seeking to acquire the MTN Shares
of the Swaziland Postal and Telephone Corporation. These deals are very
serious as they indicate the extent to which the Tinkhundla Regime is
prepared to go to cling to power and the role of unscrupulous business
organizations to connive and take full advantage of the lawlessness of
the situation. If these activities are honourable and well-intended and
not just another opportunity to loot the little that is still left, why
these deals being made under the cover of night and not advertise for
the local and regional markets and society to participate and
scrutinize the efficacy of the deals on offer. Even the prime stooge of
the royal family, the Swazi parliament is not aware of these private
auctions. This is corruption and must be condemned and exposed by all of
civic Society organisations, political parties and the international
community.
We also appeal to our alliance partners in South Africa to stop the use
of South African capital markets as bases to launch a new round of the
looting offensive against our country and people.
The people of Swaziland are being robbed in full day light. Interneuron

PUDEMO has also been reliably informed that the government is privately
offering to private investors 8 other parastatals and only people
connected with ruling elite generally have the information about what is
going on. The country is being auctioned away to shylocks and these
thugs are determined loot everything before they are forced to vacate
office, as they have failed the nation.
We will continue to follow the paper tray and all involved will face the
anger of the people.
