Dear Comrades, The Communist Party of Swaziland (CPS) Summer School in Mpumalanga is in session. The school stated on the 24th December 2011 and an official opening address was made by the General Secretary (CPS) comrade Kenneth Kunene. He gave a brief overview of the political situation in the country and advised on the objective of the school in relation to the vanguard role the party in resolving the country’s current situation and our struggle for socialism. Opening and closing on each day is marked by the singing of the Internationale’ Each subtopic under the main topic is given 3 hours for group discussion and then plenary. The School on its first day covered Philosophy – Philosophical materialism, Dialectical Materialism, The Theory of Knowledge. The second day covered Material Conception of History – Historical Materialism, Classes, Class Struggle and The State, Masses and Individuals in History, Social Progress Yesterday we were introduced to Political Economy – Pre-monopoly Capitalism, Imperialism, the Highest and last stage of Capitalism, Present Day Imperialism and the Critique of the Gotha Programme. Currently we are on the main topic of Strategy and Tactics of Revolution. The sub topic for now is the Historic Mission of the Working Class. At eleven o’clock we shall proceed on to the Marxist-Lenninst Party and its role in the Working Class Struggle. Our last topic for today shall be Policy of Unity of Action of the Working Class and all Democratic Forces. We shall post further updates on the live sessions.
