Picket at the Swaziland Consulate in Johannesburg, Braamfontein on Thursday 19 April 2018* The External Region of the People's United Democratic Movement (PUDEMO) will lead a picket to the Swazi consulate in Johannesburg to raise awareness on the abusive nature of the tinkhundla system which is led by Mswati III who rules Swaziland as an absolute monarch. We hereby invite all who love democracy, justice and peace to the picket. *Details of the picket are as follows:* *Date: 19 April 2018* *Time: 12h00 - 13h00* *Venue: **Braampark Offices, 33 Hoofd Street, Braamfontein, 2017* * Braamfontein, Johannesburg* On Thursday 19 April 2018 Mswati will spend over half a billion rands to throw a birthday party for himself. This happens whilst about 70 percent of the people of Swaziland live below the poverty line. In 2017 over 350 000 people, about a third of the population of Swaziland, were in urgent need of food aid, but Mswati pleaded poverty for his government.
